Ceramic 3D printing specialist 3D Controls (CEO Sang-kyu Lee) has developed dedicated equipment that allows anyone to easily and quickly clean the difficult residual resin in the ceramic 3D printing process.
3D Controls announced on the 30th that it has developed and released a dedicated hydraulic post-process cleaning equipment for the convenience of cleaning parts after 3D printing.
The material used in ceramic 3D printing is a paste that is a mixture of ceramic powder and resin, and its viscosity is relatively high, making it difficult to remove the resin that remains on the printed product after lamination.
In particular, residual resin can remain not only on the surface of the printed product, but also in various places such as fine holes, engraved markings, and complex structural paths. If the residual resin is not sufficiently removed and sintered, the residual resin remaining in the shape will be sintered together, adversely affecting the quality of the final product.
In addition, since the ceramic output before sintering is very weak, the shape of the output may be damaged or the removal may not be completed properly depending on the skill level and tools of the worker during the process of removing the residual resin. Therefore, the cleaning process is very important to increase the completion and success rate of ceramic 3D printing.
3D Controls, which was designated as an innovative product by the Public Procurement Service for the first time in Korea to localize the fully sintered ceramic 3D printing technology, developed a dedicated cleaning equipment optimized for easy cleaning by considering the ceramic mixing ratio in the ceramic resin based on its experience and know-how.
This equipment is designed to clean with the company's own eco-friendly cleaning solution (Eco-friendly) and a minimum amount of water at an appropriate spray strength, so even workers with low skill levels can quickly complete the cleaning process, which can significantly reduce time and cost. In addition, it is expected to help workers work safely and environmentally by using an eco-friendly cleaning solution instead of IPA (isopropyl alcohol), a hazardous chemical widely used as a conventional cleaning solution.
